Anyone using a non-legal version of windows 7 may have heard about the update that can detect many illegally activated copies of Windows 7.
So far there have been no reports of the update causing false de-activations. If you remember the WGA issue where legal copies were detected as non-legal. This mess has resulted in the KB971033 update not being made mandatory. You can opt out of the update.
Although in time I think it will be at least incorperated into SP1 so untill then you might get away with it.
